About Us
CEO's Message
Starting with the material recycling business in 2000, SungEel Hitech succeeded in recovery of raw materials from lithium-ion batteries after use and mass production for the first time in Korea. Now we lead the lithium-ion battery recycling fields with our proven technology through steady transactions with secondary battery manufacturers and automobile OEMs.
Rather than staying here, SungEel Hitech is promoting the enhancement of global eco-friendly technology leadership, advancement of sustainable battery recycling technology, and significant expansion of the production scale of battery recycling materials in line with the high-growth electric vehicle market.
Electric vehicles nowadays are reality, that is why we attempt to lead forward as a company specialized in recycling eco-friendly materials from batteries with a mindset of constant innovation and challenge.
We ask for your support and encouragement.
Thank you.

A revolution in recycling
SungEel HiTech's full-scale recycling has a high added value, realising a reduction in the carbon footprint of batteries, low-carbon and low-energy recycling. We work for a sustainable world through circular economy, recycling and social responsibility.
Technological innovation for carbon neutrality
Our technology can reduce carbon emissions by 40-67% compared to metals from conventional mines and smelting.
Full recycling
Since 2008, we have been operating a waste recycling plant for processing of all types of secondary battery waste. Since 2011, our hydrometallurgical plant is able to recover metal powders (Co, Ni, Mn, Li, Cu, Al) from metal oxides as primary raw materials.
Environmentally friendly process
The processes at our plants in Hungary do not generate waste water, all our processes are regularly measured and monitored.
High metal recovery rates
Our technology enables us to achieve a 95% recycling rate at the end of the complete recovery process, which also means that lithium-ion batteries are 95% recyclable.
Lithium-ion battery recycling
The recycling of lithium-ion batteries is important from an environmental point of view, as it is the only way to prevent the depletion of the rare raw materials used in production.
Recycling allows almost all materials to be recovered from batteries, so they can be reused to make new batteries, reducing waste and the need for natural resources.
Collection and transport
Waste from battery production and recalled secondary equipment are collected and transported to recycling plants.
Disassembly
At recycling plants, used batteries are dismantled to recover important raw materials. During dismantling, the components that make up the batteries are separated through mechanical and chemical processes. At our Hungarian sites, we only use physical-mechanical processes.
Grinding
The cathode and anode in batteries are treated using electric grinders and then separated in order to separate the different types of raw materials.
Extraction of valuable materials
The separated components, such as nickel manganese cobalt lithium oxide (NMC powder), are sold as a product that can be further purified and used in the production of new batteries.
Electrolyte recycling
Solid or liquid electrolyte solutions can be treated in the process.
