The management of our company aims to ensure full transparency in the future. In addition to complying with the law, we also aim to be open to the surrounding population as an interested party, explaining the environmental aspects of our activities. In the future, we plan to invest continuously to reduce the specific environmental impact of our technology.
To increase awareness, we will soon launch an official Facebook page to answer questions from the public. If we expand or change our activities, we will of course also inform the public through a public forum. Shortly, we would like to organize a site visit for people living in our neighborhood, which will be announced in advance on our public platforms, and to which you are welcome to join us.
A network of monitoring wells will be installed on the site in order to monitor the quality of groundwater, for that full permit documentation has been submitted to the relevant Water Protection Authority for approval. To date, the Authority has not issued a permit for the installation of monitoring wells. Once this has been issued, the wells will be subject to regular accredited water sampling, the results of them will be shared to the public. Generally speaking, the pollutants identified in the area were only marginally above the limit value and are not related to the activities of SungEel Hitech Hungary Ltd. (the detected pollutants, i.e. arsenic, barium, and selenium, are not being handled by the company), but are probably related to the industrial activities previously carried out in the area. We will follow the instructions of the competent authorities as regards the investigation of the site and any necessary intervention.
About air pollution control, we would like to inform you that the company will carry out the emission measurements required by law using an accredited measuring organization. To date, the measurement results have not shown any emissions above the limit value, and the dispersion calculation using the modeling software has not indicated ambient concentrations above the limit value for any receptor point and for any averaging time. In the future, the company plans further improvements to reduce emissions.
